It's official

I'm now a happy retired person.  No more 9 - 5 for another company.  Today is my first day of retirement from the corporate world.   :) ;D   Which means that I'm now working full time for our own company Howling Thunder Productions and gmhCafe.   Woo Hoo!!

"Retired" is somewhat of a strange word, isn't it?  I was often tired then, but I'm not tired now, so why do people refer to the end of a career as "Retired"?  I feel revived, rejuvenated, excited at the prospects of what's to come in our future.  It's an exciting time for Glenn and I.  We've been working hard on renovations, and other changes, in preparation for this next phase.  I'll let Glenn fill you in on the details of what's been happening.

Now I know why Way2lon always has a wonderful smile.  :)

Onward and upward.   :)

It's a great feeling Maureen and I'm so happy you have it as I am to see you back. The website needs it's leaders or people lose interest.
Congratulations on your 'retirement' (relief and release) and on your foundations for your future. I'm sure it will be a happy and fulfilled one.
All my best. Hope to get some more music on the go soon.
With a great big smile........Way2lon.

Maureen - welcome to the "after work" life.   ;)    I've been happier, and busier now that I can chose what to do with my days.  I'm busier than ever,  and like you say, I'm not tired, and don't feel run down like I did when working.  Have a good one.

Yessss.... we've been waiting so long for this time to arrive...  It's a time when a married couple can sit back together and enjoy the 'moments' without the overbearing 'gotta get to bed, as I've gotta work in the morning"    .... lol........ no more setting the alarm clock for the exact same time and we can actually shoot the dam thing if we want to... lol .... smash it with a hammer perhaps. lol

I'm looking forward to spending our days together, working with Howling Thunder Productions, and producing more albums with you in the future.

Now that you're retired, you can sleep in = stay up late, go for a moonlit canoe ride without having to worry about going to 'work' the next day..... life is what we 'make' of it/

Your 'working' years have been kind to you....  You don't look old enough to be retired.

  good on ya !!!
Old Eastern saying "Man who run in front of car, - get tired .... man who run behind car, get exhausted"
I like to ride IN cars, it's less tiring and less exhausting :)
