As JustOneOldMan was saying - there's supposed to be a 'super moon' tomorrow night, May 5 - :)
- 14% bigger (closer to us in it's orbit) - 30% brighter
I'm hoping to get a few pics if our skies are clear enough, although sometimes, a little cloud can really add to a moon pic 8)
hoping we can see some pics if anyone has taken some and posts.
:)

Yup, 11:35pm our time (EST), Glenn. I'll be setting up the tripod about 10:30. It's also supposed to be the absolute peak of the meteor shower we've been experiencing, so some are worried the moon will overshadow that sight.
Wouldn't it be cool to get a pic of that moon just over the treeline with a full meteor shower accompanying it?

Here are my Super Moon pictures from evening of 5th May 2012. Had to cut it short, as I heard rustling in the bushes and could smell the pleasant fragrance of skunk. Didn't want to end the day with a tomato bath..LOL
photographed with my Panasonic SDR-S26 video camera set on "still photo" mode. It has really great zoom features. I was pleased with the results.
Glenn:
Really nice detail in those shots. I like the branches hanging down in there too.
wow, our pics are just a bright white ball in the sky compared to your fantastic shots, HE. really nice! 8)
