Yeah. I feel a lot better today, too. Still can't do anything but watch Rosie do everything.

wow, this could be the 'thin edge' of a very big wedge.

but it's happening now.

Personally, I don't really like the idea of it.  I tend to lean more toward an Orwellian way of looking at this type of thing, and I believe we've already lost way too much in the way of privacy...

Yeah, very 'Orwellian' -

first, it's just for a 'convenient' place to store/access your medical data

then it's - let's store your other info in there too, also for YOUR convenience, like Identity info, (they've already got your medical records and data ) other identity info that 'isn't' medical - just for convenience - you know, make it easier to get on planes at airports, border crossing.

- oh, and next comes the little 'tracker' that is just put there for our own 'security' - you know, in case you get lost - you can be found easier, - of course it's safe for your kids to have one too, everyone should have one, it's the cool thing to do.

- then it's - ok folks, remember to go over to your i-phone and download your updated info into our data bank...  then all your friends will know what you've been up to lately... you know, like where you've been, who've you've talked with, what kind of 'other' activities might you be up to.... you know, harmless stuff, nothing to hide - right?

Next thing ya know, all babies born get the 'implant' for 'security' reasons, ... convenience ... all the data is stored in one little chip!

want to know the life history of a person in 20 years? ,... just download the chip data - and you've got it all!

gee, would any of this info be useful to...
Governments
Advertisers
Police
....
and who knows who else...

but it's for our own convenience and security right? .....  I'm not buyin' it.  ( I probably won't have to, as it'll probably be a mandatory implant in a few years.... maybe)

I agree, we've already 'exchanged' way too much of our freedom and right to privacy for the sake of feeling a little more 'safe' and secure.

Are we going to be 'fooled' or duped into thinking that this is really for our own benefit???
Are we going to let this slip into 'reality' because of our own 'apathy', in being sold a bill of goods that makes us think we will be safer and more secure?

Again, that famous quote from Benjamin Franklin comes to mind, paraphrased here... "he who would trade their privacy, and freedom for a bit of temporary security - deserves neither privacy freedom nor security!"

Cheers.

and now some families are having the chips put in the kids, to make mom feel more 'secure' ...

'veri chips'  and RFID (radio frequency Identification Chips) are here and will forge ahead with their plan making it become 'acceptable' in mainstream society.

get past the first few minutes.. at 3 minutes it goes into the 'veri' chip .

One of our cats has a micro-chip in her. It was put there at the Humane Society before we took her in. Even though she was too short for the motion detector on our new home security system to pick up, she still would set it off. Only thing we could guess was that it was the chip. None of the other cats would set it off.  :o

I bet airport security systems would have a field day..
