Hold me close
« on: January 06, 2014, 12:37:44 PM »
No 3. A song about losing the love of your life.

Hold me close. Music and lyrics by toadman.

I don't need you
Spoiling the view
As I sit here and watch my life drift by
I'm free again
I'll break but won't bend
And if that's not killing me
It's killing you

Hold me close
Hold me close
Hold me closer, girl
Then let me go

I've lost count of the times
I've looked for the signs
That there's still a bridge between me and you
Wait here in vain
Swallow the pain
And the worst thing of all is knowing that I'm the one to blame

I'll miss you girl
You were my world
And I hate the things I did that made you cry
Touch my face
I'll keep a place (in my heart for you)
And kiss me one last time goodbye

oh, well, it's always nice to give credit to those who deserve it eh?

Schprocket did a good job on those vocals.  If we include this in a feature show like "UnderGround Café" we wouldn't have known to give credit to who the singer was etc etc...  so the background info is great to have toads.

thanks for including the info.
